DIAPHRAGMATIC BREATHING
Stand in good alignment with your knees stacked over your feet, your hips stacked over your knees, your shoulders stacked over your hips, and your head stacked over your shoulders. Feet are about hip distance apart. Place one hand on your upper chest and the other just below your rib cage. This will let you feel your diaphragm move as your breathe. Inhale slowly through your nose so that your stomach moves out against your hand. Try to keep the hand on your chest as still as possible. Exhale through pursed lips and let your stomach muscles contract, moving inward. Pay attention to your breath and the movement of your hand going out and back in. If your mind wanders, bring it back to your breath and the movement of your hand. The typical respiratory rate in humans is 10-20 breaths per minute. Aim for 4-10 breaths per minute while doing this style of breathing. Try to do this or some type of breathwork every day, multiple times a day if you can.
